It depends on how much sun the area gets and how the lawn will be used. Sir Walter buffalo handles part-shade well and is low maintenance — it's the most popular choice for Brisbane backyards. Wintergreen couch suits full sun and high-traffic areas. Kikuyu is hardy and drought-tolerant but spreads fast and needs more upkeep. We'll recommend the right variety for your aspect and soil when we come out to quote

Can you landscape a sloped or uneven backyard?

Yes — sloped blocks are common across Logan, Redlands, and the hills suburbs, and they're a big part of what we do. Depending on the slope, that might mean retaining walls to create level areas, terracing, or just careful grading. We'll assess what the site actually needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

My backyard floods or holds water after rain — can that be fixed?

Usually, yes. Most water-holding issues come down to poor grading or no drainage system, both fixable. We'd assess the site, identify where the water's coming from and where it needs to go, and build a drainage solution — ag pipe, catch pits, regrading — as part of the job rather than just laying turf over the same problem.

How soon can I walk on new turf?

Generally wait 2-3 weeks before regular foot traffic, and avoid mowing until it's properly rooted in — usually 3-4 weeks depending on the season and variety. We'll give you specific watering and care instructions for your turf type when the job's done.
